About us

BackBiker was founded and is managed by two friends, Camille and Lucas. Their ambition is simple: to answer all the questions you might have as a cyclist, and to provide tips and tricks to improve your riding experience.

Lucas

Lucas' portrait

Bikes have always been an integral part of Lucas’ life, firstly because he’s always used them on a daily basis, and secondly because they fuel his passion for mechanics, as well as the sporting challenges they allow him to set himself.

If he talks about himself as a child, Lucas will tell you that he absolutely wanted to understand everything about the bike he used so much. Step by step, and by getting his hands dirty, he dismantled, repaired, and reassembled numerous two-wheelers. As he learned more and more, he grew up with the idea of making a career out of it.

A few years later, Lucas trained and obtained a diploma as a cycle technician. He then went on to work for a number of major companies in the sector, before setting up his own bike shop. Since then, he has specialized in bicycle restoration.

At Backbiker, Lucas is the wise and knowledgeable one, with countless experiences and anecdotes to share, always with the pleasure of teaching others something they didn’t know.

Camille

He’s the one who regularly asks Lucas for advice to make sure he’s making the right choices.

What Camille likes best is traveling by bike. Leaving for a few days to discover landscapes you’d never see otherwise. He tries to multiply his bikepacking adventures on a regular basis and test new equipment in real conditions.

Camille has a background in web publishing, and it’s by combining his skills and those of Lucas that they intend to make their mark in cycling and become a reference in their field.

The Backbiker adventure is shaping up to be exceptional! Make sure you’re part of it, by browsing through our content, packed with shared experiences, personal anecdotes, and expert opinions gathered for the occasion.
