When buying a new bike, the choice of the brand is one of the first questions to ask.

Whether it is for the universe, the history, the quality, or the price, it is normal to think: is Norco a good bike brand?

I am a bike lover who researched for you important information about the brand to help you know if Norco bikes are good bikes.

Let’s get started.

What is the Norco Bikes company?

The Norco brand was created in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada in 1964 by Bert Lewis.

The 59 years old brand is mainly known as one of the biggest names in Canadian bicycle manufacturing. Norco has been in the industry for over 50 years and has touched many people through its designs.

Norco has long been one of the world’s leading producers of 10-speed bikes, and the brand has also been known for its involvement in the promotion and development of BMX.

What types of bikes does Norco make now?

Today, the brand offers on its website several categories of bikes: mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes, kids bikes, and ebikes.

In its catalog, we can find 165 different bicycles and frames.

Is a Norco bike expensive?

Overall, the prices correspond to a wide range, as the first models are very affordable. The last models of the catalog stay expensive and target experienced cyclists with high-end products.

As for the price, the brand offers a wide range. The cheapest model offered costs $399 (We do not take into account kids’ bikes which would distort the average price) while the maximum price is $10,499.00.

Where can I buy a Norco bike?

Many retailers are partners, including Bike24, JensonUSA, and physical stores around the NA and Europe.

The best thing for you to do is to go directly to the manufacturer’s website. A tool is set up to find a bike as easily as possible, in a store near you or directly, if this service is available, in your mailbox (if there is enough space of course).

How reliable are Norco bikes? Are Norco bikes good?

From a bike of this range, the models are great. Norco has left its mark on the cycling landscape as a trusted brand, supported by landmark innovations such as the “Norco rampage” suspension, the first mtbs-specific front suspension, which was the best-seller in North America.

Of course, a bicycle remains reliable if it is used as designed. Make sure you use your machine correctly and maintain it regularly.

What is the Norco’s Warranty?

On the manufacturer’s website, we can read:

Norco Bicycles warrants the replacement or repair at its sole option, of any original Norco branded part due to a defect in material and/or workmanship for 1 year from the original date of purchase. An original sales receipt or other proof of purchase is required at the time of claim.

For parts such as bicycle frames and forks without suspension, the warranty period extends from 3 to 5 years.

So, is Norco a good bike brand?

Yes, I like this brand and its history, it’s also nice to see a Canadian brand in my reviews.

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one to beginners because some models are relatively expensive, but for a more advanced cyclist looking for something new, Norco knows how to meet today’s expectations, especially when it comes to mountain bikes.

Some brands might be more suitable for beginners, such as Giant.

Also, when buying your future bike, do not forget to take into account its possible limits.
